That's one question I love answering. When we try to assume when answering such questions, it results in fallacies. God definitely did not creat evil. Evil is the work of the Devil, perhaps why evil can be found in the name Devil lol.

God created the Devil. But when he created him, the devil was not evil. He was just like everyone else. He chose to be evil. Everyone today have such decisions to make.
