Today I will share how to cook Yam ! Yammy <3
The search of matured Yam for my delicious recipe.
Time to get dirty ,Dig time
Once you collect enough Yam , peels their skin off.
Time to wash it off.
And Dice cut it. Don't cut it too thick , the thicker you cut the longer it will take to cook it.
Ingredients we need
- Anchovies
- 4 pieces of Garlic
- 3 pieces Onion
- half piece of Turmeric and 3 turmeric leaf
- 1 table spoon Tamarind
- 2 size of thumb Ginger
- 1 small cube of Shrimp paste
- Salts ( measure it yourself for the taste )
- 1 small cup of water
- Optional - chilies (if you love spicy you can add chillies)
Bang time !
Put the garlic , onion , Turmeric , tamarind , anchovies , ginger and shrimp paste in mortar (or you can use blender). Pound that ingredient in mortar , and prepare you're Pan , we getting "Hotter now eh".
Pour small amount of cooking oil , and put the ingredient you just pound into you're hot pan.
Once they turn to yellow-ish ,put the yams in it. Stir it for 2 or 3 minutes then add on the water and turmeric leaves.
let it boiling with small fire for 10-15 minutes.
And here is our final product
