Today I am worried and anxious. Still waiting for news of my daughter. So to get my mind off her a little I decided to do some cooking. I made chop suey my way. The chopping and frying kept me occupied. Here is my #recipe:
Ingredients:
Ground meat
Carrots
Chayote
Cauliflower
Cabbage
Canned young corn
Onions and garlic
Mama Sita's Chop suey mix
Magic Sarap
Wash peel and slice the vegetables in bite size, does not have to be uniform sizes. Set aside. In a wok saute each vegetable in oil. Then drain and place in a bowl. After each vegetable has been sauteed except the cabbage, just combine in a bowl.
Then add a little more oil in the same wok. Saute the onions and garlic. Add the ground meat. You can use pork, chicken, shrimp or even just plain. I only had a small amount of ground meat so I decided to use it. Add Magic Sarap when almost cooked. When the meat is brown add all the veggies you stir fried then just keep mixing a bit. Pour the ready mixed sauce then add the cabbage. You can add pepper or soy sauce if you want. Just keep stirring till the sauce thickens. Turn off thd fire and stir a little bit. Let rest before transferring to a serving dish. You can add more veggies if you want.
