French Dip Roast Beast
French Dip Roast Beast Sandwiches
3 1/2- 4 pound boneless chuck roast/shoulder
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tsp. dried rosemary, crushed
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tsp. garlic powder
3 -4 peppercorns
12 French rolls, split or home made bread toasted
I like to coat the roast beast in flour and sear the meat on high heat, for extra flavor.
Sear it hot and fast then, place roast in a 5-quart slow cooker.
Combine soy sauce and next 5 ingredients.
Pour over roast.
Add water to slow cooker until roast is almost covered.
Cook, covered, on LOW for 7 hours or until very tender.
After 6 hours, slice roast and put back in juices to cook for one more hour.
Remove roast, reserving broth.
Serve on sandwich rolls/toasted bread with the broth on the side for dipping.
Be Merry. Do Good.
Don't be an JackAss.
