At work, I run a Newsletter a copy of which is emailed to our website which in turn creates a post so that visitors can see our "Latest Newsletter" and maybe sign up.
Today I had a phone enquiry:
Caller: "I'm interested in one of your iPads."
Me: "I'm sorry, I don't have any iPads?"
Caller: Well, they're on your shop!"
Me: "We don't have a 'shop' have you downloaded our stock list?"
Caller: "No, it's on your latest offers!"
Me: "Ah, OK, that's the website but I know for a fact we do not have any refurbished iPads or tablets at the moment?"
Caller: "Well it's your site, you should know if they're there!"
Me: "I do, and I know we don't. I'm truly sorry about that. Why not sign up to our newsletter and see if any come up?"
Caller: "I'll think about it."
A little while later I had an email from him. He forwarded the page that he was talking about. The page/come post was added 13/11/2019 I am now removing posts because I didn't think people would be stupid enough to think items posted six months ago would still be available!
