I have written about Uncle Aunty Wan Tan Mee from my previous food post. This time it will be about Penang's Char Kuey Teow from Lebuh Chulia, the same spot whic his just beside Uncle Aunty Wan Tan Mee.
My boyfriend was craving for it. He saw a long line of queue about 15 over people lining up until out of the street, he got lazy. So how did he ordered? He did not line up, nor did he cut someone's queue. I did not line up for him as well.
What he did was lucky actually, a stranger woman from China asked him whether can she share table with him, along with her husband. My boyfriend gladly accepted, at the same time asking her husband which is about 3 to 4 person away from his turn, to order a dish for him as well. Really smart boyfriend, haha.
He ordered chicken egg instead of duck egg, because he prefers chicken over duck everytime. He didn't order extra spicy this time, he said he didn't want to trouble the China guy to remember such specific order. We had a few conversation with the lady, my boyfriend even imitated China slang and the lady praised him for being quite accurate, LOL!
After we left, my boyfriend said it was nice, but not spicy enough. I only tasted one bite but still lack some taste on it, probably my standard is higher. The queue is really long, maybe you guys ought to try it! Rating is 6.5/10 for this one.
