Had the opportunity to sneak out from work during lunch time to join my friend for lunch. But of course not for too long or else I might have to stay back later to replace the missing time since my office uses card scanning (I think everyone does).
Here I am at Ipoh Ais Kopi. The restaurant mainly serves iconic Malaysian foods like Laksa, Chee Cheong Fun, Curry Mee and even Ipoh style White Coffee...
These are the foods we ordered, 3 types of food shared by 2 person which are prawn noodle, curry noodle and Chee Cheong Fun. All of them are spicy, that's the main point of Malaysian food!
The curry looks so tasty, trust me it's not because of my camera's quality. The curry is really concentrated unlike some other curries out there which are quite tasteless because too much water is present, well not for this one.
Chee cheong fun tastes the best by combining the chili sauce and the sweet sauce. Some people prefer it to be separated, some only likes the original sweet sauce without chili. For us we like to combine it into a new formula.
Overall price was RM47 including drinks which are Coffee and Iced Barley. That's about RM23.70 per person, normal Malaysians have lunch at about RM10 range. If we were to order a single food each, that's going to be almost RM15-RM16 each. Well if you can eat inside a shopping center with nice aircond and environment at this price, it is considered really cheap already...
