I went nearby Plaza Arkadia which is at Kepong to drop my friend home last Monday after a day out. We both were not hungry at first, because we had a late brunch which was around 3pm plus. As soon as I almost reach her doorstep, our stomachs began to grumble so we decided to go to the nearest location to eat which was Plaza Arkadia.
The place is looks big on the outside, but inside is not really as big as I thought. The scenery was nice and they have fountains at the center of the plaza where there are a few kids who will play and get themselves wet by the fountain spray. There are many bars and restaurants, we both walked until almost the end of one side and saw this Steamboat that looks cheap from the menu, The Steamboat Ketam Village
*All images shown are just for illustration purposes only. This is what I am afraid of the most. From the picture you can see this set has many sorts of dishes. With lamb slices as the main dish, a few chicken slices, some meatballs that aren't pork, fish balls, vegetables and noodle. All these with the cost of RM37.90, sounds too good to be true?
Well we just ordered one set in case we couldn't finish it, we will add one more set. Luckily we did, the food came exactly the same as the picture, in terms of quantity.
We chose tomyam soup that adds on RM4.60 to the bill, to spice the taste and our tongues up. We also added another chicken slice ala-carte for about RM9, 6 pieces.
You get to grill it as well, I think grill tastes better than soaking the meat in tomyam soup, but my friend preferred with the tomyam soup anyway. So this is a pretty good setup to satisfy both of our taste, with half tomyam and half grill side. Total bill was RM77, pretty satisfied.
