Well, I'm branching out a little, I'm really trying to get into beer and cider. I had the opportunity to taste a few ciders today, and this was my favorite.
Made in the Willamette Valley, Oregon, this is mainly made from the Roman Beauty apple, blended with both Granny Smith and Yarlington Mill Ciders.
This is definitely a more tart cider, with just a little sweetness. I wouldn't call it sweet, but true cider fans might think it is. Really big apple, with lots of apple skin notes. This reminds me of a light Sauvignon Blanc, and has some yeasty aromas and flavors.
This is somewhat pricy, in my mind, about $8/bottle. Regardless of price, I did really enjoy this, and would definitely recommend it!
