We Are Hoping To Get Apples Before Baby Comes
We are expecting a baby any day and if we want to make apple sauce, now is the time. We drove about 45 minutes out to the Apple Orchard to purchase apples, but they hardly had any! It was a beautiful day for a drive at least.
Note to self: call ahead.
I don't know where to park!
I looked all around the parking lot for a place to park the car, thankfully a sign helped me find a spot.
Inside the Apple Store
Forget high-tech gadgets, this is the TRUE Apple store.
Apples, Cider, Doughnuts and... Apple Pie!
We didn't want to waste the trip, so we got some hot cider and doughnuts along with a small bag of apples. We also got a Dutch Apple Pie to eat later. We found a comfy spot to eat our goodies.
Conclusion
So we normally would get "deer apples", the ones which they gathered from the ground, for apple sauce. Depending on the time of year, they can be just as good as regular apples. We were shocked to discover they didn't have any yet, to check back in a few weeks. Looks like apple sauce making is going to be later this month, maybe even next month!
It was a nice ride out there anyway and it's nice to get out of the Sukkah for a while and get ready for another evening in the tent.
Bless the Most High!
Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin
We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.
No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13
Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny
Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.
