11 days ago, I calculated that I needed to average 8.43 Steem/Day over 166 days to reach 5,000 by my two year mark. I also went over my formula for achieving this in my first post.
This would be a total of 1,400 Steem. It's not a lot of $, but it's not easy to manually earn. I want to set an example of how hustle and dedication pays off in the long run if things work out. I'll also note that I've traded liquid earnings over my time here that would've already had me over 5K Steem if I didn't, but that doesn't count anymore.
Let's see how I'm tracking...
No self-votes in 30+ days.
Last 11 days, although it says 10 in the date range.
Stats:
- Starting Steem on 3/10: 3,600
- Current Steem on 3/21: 3,754
- Steem Earned in 11 Days: 154 Steem
- Daily Rate Over 11 Days: 14 Steem/Day
- Daily Rate Excess: 5.57 Steem x 11 Days= 61.27 Steem ahead of schedule
I doubt this boosted rate will be sustainable since I had a solid pipeline of rewards pending payout when I first started this initiative. Maybe I'll see those levels again, but admit they’re well above my normal rate. If I can somehow sustain that clip, or hit it occasionally, that'd be a huge help to my daily average target.
If I recalibrated my estimates now, I'd need 1,246 Steem in 155 days, or an average of 8.04 Steem.
My quick start out of the gate (with the higher pending rewards at the time), has me ahead of schedule and reducing my daily Steem requirement by 0.40 Steem.
Key Factors:

showing faith via a newly set daily autovote.

showing constant support to push me forward. (Insert 3 strong flexing arm emojis).
support uptick thanks to two kind Steemians/talented artists I've recently met:

for giving me a 100% vote on possibly every single post I've ever made since he's been a Steemian (all manual until auto-voting on a hiatus... please return to Steem).
- Lastly,

adding significant muscle, clearly, to make this goal practically achievable. If only more large investors could just "get it" and selflessly prioritize building from the bottom up.
I'm powering all liquid earnings up for the foreseeable future. I'm debating holding some SBD on the side just in case it spikes like wild again to allow me to swap it for much more Steem, but I'm currently swapping it for Steem right away.
After 5,000 SP, I'll keep plowing ahead for 7,500 and 10,000.
I'll keep blogging, curating, and branching out to put the work in. My goal is to either continue posting or start posting more on these topics:
- Thrifting
- Upcycling
- Drumming (with new band videos)
- My upcoming baseball season (pitching & hitting pics/videos/stats)
- Jokes & comedy subtitle videos
- Inspirational/motivational/core values
Here's my original post detailing my game plan.
Thanks for your interest and to each of you for your help to keep me moving forward,
