Green Lights. Slow Reaction. I was a passenger in the car. As my husband and I waited for the lights to turn green, I thought I would take a photo of the scene in front of us. I never thought my reactions would be quicker than two motor bike riders idling at traffic lights in the heart of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast of Australia .......but I present to you the proof. The lights are green and these two riders are still waiting. Their slow reaction could have been due to distractions to their left......but whatever! I was quicker then them. (The things I take pride in! Ridiculous really......but at my age I think I will make an exception just this once and enjoy the moment!)
This is my entry for Friday's Street Photography challenge curated and sponsored by and
.
Due to the fact that the 2018 Commonwealth Games are about to open on the Gold Coast on the 4th of April, the streets of surfers paradise is a hub of activity everywhere you go at the moment. Just out of interest, I thought I'd include a few pics of the colourful fencing which line the streets near the different sporting venues.
Pretty cool aren't they?
I think I have worked out what is helping my lightning fast reactions these days. Its all the practise I am getting flitting in and out of steemit posting images etc. (That's me, below, with my trusty walker on wheels helping me manoeuvre my way around in steemit........in case a few of you don't see the resemblance.........bless your hearts.)
