Its time to check on my Sunflowers, I haven't got very many this year as can't lok after them plus I am later planting seeds. This year is a special year as I am planting the seeds I harvested from last years Sunflowers. I only have a couple of pots with a few Seeds in, If they grow I will remove them and plant them into a new pot.
I started growing seeds on 13th June, I am pleased how they are growing especilly the very first seed I planted. I added support sticks in each corner then wrapped cling film around it to stop snails etc from getting into the pot and eat the seedlings x
I think I am going to have to have a few pots ready as my Sunflowers are doing better than I thought they would. The first seed I planted is growing and looks very strong.
I will the biggest Sunflower were it is as it sits right next to asuppot stick that I can attache it to. As for the others I will run them out putting a few into there very own pots where they can stay until they have flowered.
Its still very warm here, Hubby has gone to Golf with his brother whilst I have a couple of hours by myself. I was going to get the hose pipe out wren he got home but we had a down pour, it got heavier and heavier and lasted a while. Hubby came home soaked.
That downpour has saved me a trip out to water them thank you Mother Nature. We needed that rain shower as haven't had much rain just lots of heat.
I couldn't move to do anything as Luna decided oh I'm tired so plonked herself onto my knee for a nap.
With it only being me and the pups, they can sleep for a while as don't get disturbed as the house is quiet. She's such a lovely little pup to cuddle. Its like having a baby.
Hubby home and dried off in showing no sympathy for him, he's soaked and only got to hole 9 before giving up. He's gone just in time to make tea. Whilst hubby made tea I made a pot of homemade Ice Cream.
Ingredients
Double cream
Tin of Condensed Milk
Strawberries
Nuttella.
Whip the cream then fold in the condensed milk. I layered some of the cream then added a layer of strawberries then covered with the rest of the whole cream. I then softened a little nuttella for the top.
Its delicious
