Camogli is one of the pearls in the famous Riviera di Levante, the eastern coast of Liguria: if you visit Portofino, you should come here too.
It's a fishing village, made by colored houses, typical of the Italian style. There's plenty of bars and restaurants with tables on the promenade.
I've been in one of these with a friend of mine for lunch: we have chosen "Xodo' Bar".
Xodo' Bar is on the right
Their specialties are mainly seafood dishes, but they have all the Ligurian typical food as focaccia al Formaggio and pesto Genovese.
We ordered a mixed fresh fish entry, made of tuna and swordfish carpaccio, anchovies, and mussels that were gorgeous, with some local white wine.
We tried also a Focaccia al Formaggio.
Then we chose a fish fry: I wish you can smell and taste from my pictures this wonderful food. We could not finish it.
Weather was sunny and mild so we could enjoy eating outdoor, looking at the sea.
(That signboard is property of the next bar)
Prices at "Xodo' Bar" are very reasonable compared to food quality and sea view.
You can also sit there to drink a cappuccino, have breakfast or a cocktail at aperitif time.
Don't think that because of its location it's a tourist trap: it's really a top choice!
