Dampa Seafood Grill: I Will Definitely Be Back (A Tasteem Review)

Nothing beats impromptu.

It was just another lazy Saturday. No. It was a manic Saturday. And just as the day was about to end I decided to finally try this new talk of the town.

Dampa Seafood Grill

Dampa Seafood Grill is a freshly opened restaurant here in Abu Dhabi. They opened here in February and has been a favorite not only by Filipinos but by other nationalities as well.

I remember passing in front of this resto on Valentines day and I saw a huge crowd outside patiently waiting to be seated. It has been in my mind since then. I just got to try it.

And here comes my chance.

As soon as you enter the restaurant, you will be welcomed by a colorful Vintage industrial design and loud 90's music will set the mood.

Just near the entrance, the kids saw this "arcade corner" which they tinkered while waiting for our food.

Wait, there's more!

Look! They even have a basement. Cool decorations there too. They even have a screen projector there.

Can you now talk about the food?

Oh yeah, I got carried away with the impressive interior and the lively vibe! So here's the queen of the night. Their "best seller".

Dump a Seafest - - shrimps, crab, mussels and clams goodness in Cajun sauce, with corn, two 1L mock tails and get this:

UNLIMITED RICE!!!

They will dump these preciouses at the center of your table. Armed with plastic gloves, you then attack them til you drop.

This feast is good for 3 - 4 people, but can honestly even bring even 5 people on food coma. It is reasonably priced at AED 145 ($40) plus 5% VAT.

If you prefer Ala carte you also have that option. But if you would like a little bit of everything, then I suggest you get the "dump".

Guess what, this menu, though not posted on their FB page is pasted next to the glass entrance for anyone's reference. You don't need to go inside and be surprised of the price but you can decide on your budget even before you enter.

Will I come back? Definitely!

We don't always eat out as a family but this impromptu dinner is so worth it.

I also have to mention that the parking is not an issue at the area even if you decide to come in the evening. There's the Mawaqif underground parking nearby.
