We had a sitter so we decided to go to dinner and go to the movies. On a friday, little did we know that it would be this crowded. But than again Black Friday is total madness. We went to Barclays Corner, in the Kareldoormanstraat in Rotterdam. The famous shopping street that ends in the square where all the big movies play in the cinema.

This is not a new place for us, but i never blogged about it. Its FABOULOUS AND CHEAP, GREAT MENU AND A FIREPLACE, SO YES ITS POSSIBLE. And the staff is really nice.
We rang to the restaurant when we were on our way because its was so busy finding a place to park the car and the lady said she would keep the table untill we arrived. Thats service number 1 cause with this many people freaking out about black friday and in town, she could have said no way i give the table to some other hungry shopper. So thank you Nancy.

When we finally arrived she sat us down at the window and gave us some bread and butter, oil and aioli and the menu. We had 1,5 hours untill the movie started so we choose from the menu.

Than after the drinks arrived. We had a sate, i had chicken, my hubby had pork. Together with the fries and a salad very tasty and enough, for a quick dinner.
I thought it was weird that you had to pay for the mayonaise, but thats just me.

The food was delicious and the ambiance in the restaurant was greatly decorated for christmas already. They have a grand terras outside with heaters where smoking is allowed.
And in the busy shopping street it is no punishment to stand there together with other customers is also fun, cause everybody is a night out. I kinda love that.

We had a great night, and indeed cheap and faboulous is possible!
We had two drinks each, we had bread before dinner and the dinner was great so on to the movies across the beautiful square.
The amount was 27 euro per person thats very ok.

If and when you visit Rotterdam and want a lovely, faboulous dinner GO THERE !
