Kumpare means comrade and pares means pair. I am not sure if the founder of this chain of Filipino restaurants was thinking about comrade when he or she conceptualized the name of the business but I am sure he or she was thinking about pairs. That is because they serve pares meals.
They have many options for Fiipino meals but as their name implies, their specialty is about pares.
The Filipino original pares recipe is beef cooked in sweet soy sauce and served with garlic rice. Kumpares diversified the recipe by having different ingredients instead of just beef.
I ordered for seafood pares. When my pares arrived, I feel like devouring on them because of too much hunger. I came from thet last mass and yet to catch the grocery store before it closes at midnight.
With the price of P75.00 (US $1.45), I already have a seafood with soup and rice meal. That is pretty low cost for a full meal. What's more? They offer unlimited rice which means you can ask fo more bowls of rice for as many as you can finish without additional cost! I did not avail of such because the regular serving is just right for me but such unlimited rice offer if something that happy tummies are looking for.
Aside from pares, they have many other dishes on their menu like these noodles and porridge options.
They also have these barbecue and duo options.
Sweet and cool desserts to complete your day.
And more...
Drop by any branch of this low cost restaurant and enjoy your pares. I had mine at the branch ith address as follows (Google is not resolving the correctaddress):
