Da Nang, like many other cities in Vietnam, was severely damaged by the war. A huge quantity of napalm bombs and agent orange were stocked in the airport. For this reason, the damages of contamination were huge and still remains to nowadays. In 2018 the US government in a partnership with the Vietnamese government clear the whole area, considering it decontaminated since 2018. However, the sad side of a war is harder to clean.
In Da Nang, there’s still, a huge quantity of people who were born disabled because of the consequences of war. However, in this small cafe, the lemon seems to become a lemonade… I went to have breakfast today, hoping just to taste some pancakes, but I experience much more!
Happy Heart Cafe is not just a place to have amazing pancakes. It’s also a place to see there are always possibilities…
Happy Hear Cafe
Located very close to My An beach, the tiny cafe has a great atmosphere. The staff is so gentle and they care a lot about customer satisfaction. In the cafe only disable people to work. So, to order your stuff, you can point on the menu, or use a kind of “translator” to make your order. Most of the waiters are deaf.
The people are really nice and gentle! I simply loved the way the staff is nice and lovely.
Pancakes
The menu is absolutely western. This means that bacon, avocado toast, cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, and bread are included. I really wanted to have those fluffy American pancakes and without knowing I choose the perfect spot!
I order my pancakes with fresh fruits and honey and it was absolutely delicious! I also order an americano and they bring me some milk! It was absolutely a champion’s breakfast and I really enjoyed it!
I definitely will come back for some cinnamon rolls, which I also love! But it’s a great spot for breakfast and if you’re in Da Nang you shouldn’t miss it! For sure you will fell with a happy heart and a happy stomach after visiting this cafe!
