Ayam Penyet or in English "Flatten Chicken" is a dish that become my favourite since 2010. Its a simple crispy marinated with a blend of spices chicken and flatten with mortar to give it Penyet effect. The dish itself is served with a spicy sambal that gives it an extra oompph that makes you forget that you are on a diet.

I heard about this Restaurant Teratak Kota Belud few years back back but I never went here until last Sunday I am craving for "Ikan Keli Penyet" and my friend Via wants to have the Ayam Penyet.
I love that the place is clean and since we came around 6 pm the restaurant only have few customers. We ordered our food and water. The restaurant run out of chicken as its still in the middle of of marinating process. So everyone ordered fish dish. While looking outside from the restaurant. Its also Spring time in kk as all the flowers blooming and I am starting to itch.

Their fish is fried in spices but the taste is not what I expected to be. Its just OK but the portion for Talapia penyet is very huge that 3 person can share this. Price wise is reasonable. I must say the sambal is quite tasty but Warung Padang sambal is still the #1 on my list.
