Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!

I am excited to come up with my very first post for Tasteem, another great d-app run on the Steem blockchain :)

I picked my favorite pizza place here in Playa del Carmen, Mexico for the review, a small but very nice and cozy restaurant known as Pizza Italia.

The restaurant is located on the 5th Avenue which is the busiest and most touristy street in the city but since it situated a bit further up from the very center (between Calle 44 and 46), it is rarely crowded. This is what the entrance to restaurant looks like.

Like I said, the restaurant is very small with just a few tables but it feels very cozy, clean and friendly. The walls are decorated with beautiful paintings by local artists.

As the name suggests, this place is mainly about pizza so let´s see what they offer. You can choose from up to 12 different types of pizza such as Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Margherita, Mushroom, Mexicana etc. Here is a few shots of some of them.

The pizza is served on paper, which might seem quite unusual for some but I personally really like it as many other similar places in the city use those nasty disposable plastic plates that end up in the sea, killing the beautiful marine life here.

There is this huge colorful menu on the back wall where you check the current offer and the prices. All pizzas are for 20 pesos (approximately 1 USD) per slice, with the exception of the shrimp pizza that is for 30 pesos (1.5 USD) per slice.

I also took a photo of the paper menu as it is a bit better arranged. As you can see, the restaurant also offers (delicious!) Focaccia, Lasagna and the Greek Salad.

But that´s not all! After the main dish, you might want to have a coffee with something sweet, right? There you go :)

As I just showed you, Pizza Italia is a place where you will get complete and pleasant dining experience for a very reasonable price. You can have a few slices of wonderful pizza, coffee and a delicious dessert for just some 100 pesos (5 USD), which is an amazing deal in this super touristy part of Mexico ;)
