Hi Steemians,
Today I would like to take you to Kreta Ayer at Chatswood Chase. They have 3 branches in Sydney and the Chatswood one is the closest for me. What I love about this place is the food is always consistently good and on weekdays, there are lunch specials. There is ample parking so you can finish your meal and continue shopping or get some groceries.
Let’s have a look at the menu first
We ordered a fish fillet noodle soup, minced pork with dry noodles and a normal serve of Hainan Chicken. As we were there during the weekday, you can get a free drink as per top of the menu or add a small amount to get a special drink.
This only applies to meals ordered from the lunch special menu, if food is ordered from the main menu (like the Hainan Chicken), the drink will not be included for free. I forgot to take a photo of the drinks as I ordered them as takeaway so they gave it to me in a bag.
There are some really nice drinks on the menu and a tofu dessert where they make it fresh in a bucket which is quite popular in the evening. The seating at the restaurant is a bit crammed and they don’t have chairs with a back so it's not a place to really chill and catch up with friends. But it is definitely a place to get some nice reasonably priced food.
