Hello, Steemian friends! Today, I would like to show you my first Korean food. I have been in the class with , she came to visited me again in Bangkok a few days ago. I took her out to hang out around my city, and we are cooking together, too. When I was learning how to make the Kimchi from her, I was taking notes for the recipe, so I'm gonna share it with you, too. Have a look here! ;)
Ingredients:
• 1 ½ kg of napa cabbage
• 200 grams of sliced spring onion
• a half of sliced white onion
• a half of sliced apple
• 8 red chilis
• 5 clovers of garlic
Flavoring:
• 1 ½ cup of pure water
• 2/3 cup of sea salt
• 2/3 cup of hot pepper powder
• 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
• 1 ½ tablespoon of sugar
Making Kimchi!
• First, cut the napa cabbage and clean it with water. Then, mix the napa cabbage with sea salt and leave it for 1 hour, then clean the napa cabbage again.
• Mix the Kimchi sauce, add sliced white onion, sliced apple, garlic, red chili and ½ cup of pure water in the blender, and mix all the ingredients together.
• Then, add the Kimchi sauce into a bigger bowl, add hot pepper powder, sugar and fish sauce into the Kimchi sauce and mix it together.
• Add sliced spring onion into the Kimchi sauce and mix it.
• Add napa cabbage (after having left it for 1 hour) into a bowl, mix all the ingredients.
• Put the Kimchi into the box and wrap it with plastic wrap, cover the box and wait until the next day. Kimchi will be ready to eat! ;)
After I left Kimchi for 1 day, just take a look here!!! This is my first Kimchi ever! It looks really very delicious, as you can see. ;)
My Kimchi smells so great! It is very smooth, and you can feel a little bit sour, salty and spicy (for me it’s not very spicy), it’s very yummy! I love it very much! Big thanks to for teaching me how to cook it. I hope my Steemian friends can cook it themselves and get it delicious like I did. ;)
Thank you so much for reading my post. ;)
Love, Maya
