The NEW Steemit Book Club marches on, and now we have a name.
Don't mind the photo, I just need something haha
It was a really close vote, with Page Dwellers just barely coming out on top with 4 votes against 3 for Bookworms and Easy Readers. “Reading Circle” was much less popular, just one vote I think.
So that’s it. All future posts will refer to this club as “The Page Dwellers.” Hooray!
Here are several small updates happening:
Designing a Logo
I used a Steem Gig to hire us a logo designer. This should be done in about a week - so stay tuned for a rad logo design :-D
As a cool side note, I earned as much as I spent on my Steem Gig. The post reward was $20, and I offered 20 SBD… so in a sense, the blockchain subsidized our logo for us. That’s rad as hell.
Picking Books for August <--- (Extra Important)
Here’s how we will pick books:
Each month, two weeks into the month, I will post five different book options. We will hold a vote right in the Steemit thread and whichever book is most popular wins and becomes the choice for the following month.
For month one, we’re only going to do books that are in the public domain. That means they were published before the year 1923.
My question for you this week: What is your favorite book from before 1923? Give me recommendations in the comments for this thread.
In two days, I will post our August Book Poll and we’ll pick the book. That will give everybody about a week this time to get prepared for the first session of THE PAGE DWELLERS. (!!!)

I am in the process of setting up a steem.chat room for us. This will be cool I think, to encourage a stronger community alongside the weekly discussion threads.
