We are car-sharer for a few of weeks now. We don't have a car of our own anymore because we don't need it for our daily life. We live downtown and we get to work by foot, tram or bus easily and comfortably. Only sometimes we missed a car - for example if we needed to buy and carry something heavy or if we wanted to visit friends living in the villages around Würzburg. That's why we decided to get members of a car sharing project and we are totally happy with it. Just for fun and to test it and because we could do it, we booked one of the smaller cars the other Sunday for an 'Ausflug ins Grüne' (a trip into the Green - means: to the countryside).
We cruised always along the boarders of the river Main.
A characteristic specificity of the region are the vineyard near the river.
Our destination was a little village which is relatively famous for it's complete medieval ramparts. Must have been a very dangerous and unsafe neighborhood back then ... But nowadays Sulzfeld - that's the villages name - is a beautiful and romantic place. It's definitely worth a trip and we took a small stroll through its alleys.
But the hubby wasn't so much interested in old walls and I already was there several times so we choose to spread a blanket on a meadow near the river and spent the afternoon watching the sky and the clouds and the birds and all the greenish beauty around us ...
This was my contribution to #thursdaygreen, a colorchalenge invented by . Great idea! 🌿

I hope you enjoyed the little trip to my franconian countryside. The green of the early summer around us was just amazing. It was so relaxing and soothing for the eyes. 🌿☀️🌿.
