Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) / Stefan Küng (BMC Racing)
Today's stage should finish with a sprint finish, albeit a much-reduced one with Mark Cavendish, Marcel Kittel, Andre Greipel and Fernando Gaviria no longer racing. Peter Sagan's hold on the Green Jersey is pretty much guaranteed, which will work in his favour as it doesn't matter if there's a sprinter in the break that is going for the intermediate sprint points - the world champion can simply sit in the pack and go for stage victory at the finish!
That being said, the majority of teams have lost a few riders and if a break forms (likely to be consisting of the KOM Classifcation contenders, e.g. Julian Alaphilippe), it might be unlikely that they are chased down and they could go the distance. Someone like Stefan Kung or Thomas De Gendt could go the distance.
