A new day, a new city! We are welcomed to Moscow at around 6am. The 9 hour train journey was unbelievably comfortable and clean, amazing really, as the train seemed to be about 1km long with 2 levels housing hundreds of people.
This was our little cabin of four people, we are under no illusion that all the journeys will be as pleasant, the next leg is 24 hours and after that it just keeps increasing!
But anyway, we arrive and check into the hostel. After cleaning up we find a place to stuff our faces!
After feeling recharged from the food and coffee, we waste no time in walking through the city. Our hostel is near to red square, so we walked the cobbled stones around the famous landmarks.
We hope to see inside the Kremlin and Vladimir Lenin's tomb tomorrow but for today we were able to get pictures from outside.
As well as some stunning views of St Basil's cathedral.
After seeing some classic cars on display, we watched the world go by from a bench.
To finish off the day we had some traditional Russian borscht and some not so traditional ice cream.
We have planned a full day for tomorrow, so we will be up early to try and get as much in as possible! See you then!
