After our trip to the islands I had 2 days in Bangkok before I had to fly back to London. Nat was telling me about this boat dinner cruise weeks before I arrived and first thing we did after we arrived in Bangkok was to go to this place (it was obviously booked prior). There are so many cruises like this - smaller boats, bigger boats, different classes of restaurants on them etc. The one we took was quite the spectacle. Upon arrival there were musicians on the roof singing as the boat was coming closer to the pier. There was an Elvis impersonator amongst them and they were performing in English, Thai and Chinese. Once we walked in it looked amazing and we were directed to the roof where our table was set. One thing I regret a lot was forgetting to take my camera... so I had to take photos with my crappy phone camera in the dark.
The dinner was a buffet and the menu had a rich selection of Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Western kitchens. There was so much food and I wanted to try everything.. it is always so hard to pick when you have so many options.
I just realised that this is the only photo that has some food in it.. even though it is somewhere on the side.
There were a lot of things to see around but I couldn't capture them all with my phone camera. This temple was the thing that caught the eye the most.
This interesting bridge was where we turned the boat and went back.
The whole trip lasted about two and a half hours. Throughout the whole time there were two music bands on the boat. One of them was playing on the roof and the other on the stage downstairs. In between their sets the Thai Elvis was performing and surprisingly not singing many Elvis songs.. Food was delicious and a lot in quantity. Overall it was an amazing experience and if you happen to go to Bangkok, this is a nice place to spend the evening.
