The place has a terribly unimaginative name but I suppose there is no denying what sort of establishment it is from the street.
This place is located between Sosua and Cabarete, so if you are in this part of the country for sports on the water or a family vacation (Cabarete) or in the country because you enjoy nightlife and prostitutes (Sosua) both groups can find their way to Germany Bar & Grill.
You cant tell from this picture and will just have to take my word for it but this place was pretty busy. This is impressive because it is not high tourism season here yet and also the location is just horrible. It is right next to a really noisy road and not in either tourist area. You will need a car to get here. I recommend earplugs too or just loud voices to overpower the relentless traffic noise.
However, this doesn't stop the crowds. Most of the people appeared to be expats (I didn't interview everyone - i can just tell these things) and in my opinion when locals frequent your place, you are doing something right. The food was incredible and if it weren't for the overpowering noise, I am sure we would have eaten here multiple times.
One of those is a chicken schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and the other is a pork something or other with red cabbage and spetzel (i may have spelled multiple words wrong there.) Anyway, both were absolutely fantastic.
They also have a full deli here with selection of items that would be very difficult to acquire if they were not here.
Overall, i would say this is likely one of the best restaurants in the area and you should definitely make an effort to visit if you are in the area. The portions are huge (as you can see) and it is relatively cheap (very little on the menu is over $8)
