A long-established name in the Krabi culinary community, Soi 11 Beer Garden features a wonderful ambiance with tremendous views of the surrounding karts just on the outskirts of the popular Ao Nang Beach strip. However, while this is a tremendous feature that most other establishments can't boast, it also has the negative aspect of making it relatively difficult to access for travelers.
I wouldn't say this impacts their ability to stay "out of the red" as a business at all. They are easily one of the most popular places among the local expat community and are very busy on a regular basis.
Their menu focuses very heavily on German-style dinners including all the sausages and schnitzels that I love so much.

this plate of wonderfulness is called a Jägerschnitzel and no, there is no Jägermeister in it
They do have Thai options but to be honest I think this is merely to placate the married couples where one of the partners actually is Thai. One of my favorite aspect of this place is the weekly BBQ buffet where a wide variety of items (including home-made sausages) are available in unlimited quantities.
if it is high-season (Dec - April) you better get there early for this as you can expect every seat to be occupied
For the beer lovers they have a wide selection of international flavors including Veltins Pilsener, Flensburger Pilsener, and Weihenstephan Wheat on TAP!
While you can expect to spend more than 200B ($8, not including drinks) per person so you shouldn't come here expecting it to be budget-oriented. I suppose it is a matter of perspective what you think "budget" means. However, considering the portions, the quality, and the selection, I think it is very worth it and remains one of my favorite restaurants in the entire country of Thailand.
