The place
Cool location but sat too close to the street. Not much of a view either.
Starters (before and after)
Boiled artichoke with mustard vinaigrette. The artichoke may needed to have been cleaned slightly better and rubbed with some lemon and salt before and after boiling. Otherwise tasty.
Escargot XL. Large snails in garlic olive oil pesto, very tasty. But I needed about three times as many. God bless my aunt in Crete.
Main dish
Skinny chicken with arugula and a tomato sauce. Meat was a slight bit tough but decent flavor, the sauce was good. Side of haricots verts. The greens beans with a bit over cooked for my preference - 60 seconds over cooked.
Wines
Cotes du Rhône and Bordeaux. Both good. I’m no connoisseur, yet. Interesting thing I noticed that I’ve never seen before. There is a line etched into the wine glasses that indicates where the wine should be poured till.
Dessert
Cafe le hibou. Espresso with small sweets on the side. The panna cotta was fresh and my favorite. The others were decent but seemed the slightest bit stale. The coffee was great though.
