Hi there, today i took and exclusive tour to one of the oldest markets, in Alagbado, in Ogun state Nigeria.
The market has been in existence since 2002, and today has become probably the largest market in the ogun western part of Nigeria
it was a bit rainy, as i toured from store to store, learning new things .
The market is considered a JACK OF ALL TRADE, because every community necesary for the existence of humanity can be found here.
Come with me, the Nigerian market is synoynmous to clean and fresh food produce which seems to attract thousands of people to the historic market dominated by all kinds of tribe from yoruba to Igbo and Hausa
my exclusive touchdown as i arrive at the market main entrance, its a bit old with dusty path and muddy roads
next i went to a stand where roasted plaintain is sold, in Nigeria, roasted plantain is eaten with groundnut, i had to ask the seller to reduce the price of the roasted plantain. Its a sweet and lovely dessert before a meal.
here is a full glare i captured of the roasted plantain, its more than amazing, you need to try these.
my love for fishes is so much, i went to the fish stand to take a look and ast for the prices, we do not have deep sea water in this part of Nigeria, so that is why fishes are expensive. This is Tilapia fish. My best of all fishes.
tomatoes are plentious in this market, i love food, so im going to the food section, i mean look at this so red and fresh, i will have to buy some to cook Jollof rice.
here is a fish we call okporoko, its a deep salt fish, smoked and dried, i love it for cooking soup. You really need to come to Nigeria
so i wenr to the underwear section, and here are boxer shorts for men, i was meaning to buy some, its quite cheap here, im really having fun.
here is ladies wears displayed on mannequins, i mean i could have bought some, but i dont have a girlfriend. This lovely pieces will look good on
honestly guys, great fibre.
here is onions they are directly from the farm, and trust me its expensive here, i live with my family and i do the cooking, so here im i shopping.
here is the cow meat section, i love meat a whole lot. These guys are butchers and they sell after killing the cows im going in to buy.
here is cucumber i mean we grow these in Nigeria, so nourishing, and tasty, can also be used as salad sweetner.
lastly i went to the local orange stand, the women display their oranges in tins and call buyers who are passing by.
Of course here is my tour to Alagbado market in Nigeria, my favourite market.
I really hope you enjoyed my tour.
You should consider this place a tour to savour.
