These beautiful lotuses will grow to cover the surface of Lake Nong Han Kumphawapi in northeastern Thailand. This tourist site is in the northern city of Kumphawapi, and its distance is only about 50 kilometers from Udon Thani. Local people call this lake as Talay Bua Daeng which means 'Red Sea Lotus'.
At the end of each year, this 8,000-square-foot lake will look very attractive and even very beautiful. Because millions of pink lotuses will bloom and reach its peak in December. And the recommended time is very appropriate to see it is in the morning when the flowers will be fully bloomed.
Locals say that the Lotus flowers symbolize the energetic new energy. The tourists are allowed to board a boat to get around the lake while enjoying the beautiful scenery throughout the day.
