A friend of mine was kind enough to take me to the Tokyo Station Hotel for tea and a snack at the Toraya cafe inside Tokyo Station itself. Toraya is a 16th century traditional confectionary brand that opened up this cafe offering a beautiful and delicious selection of "wagashi", an artistic Japanese confession known for complimenting tea.
Of course the matcha and sweets were delicious but the interior of this cafe was also really special. In Japan it's often quite difficult to take pictures of interiors as you have to be weary of others in the vicinity, so I will leave a link below that showcases pictures of the interior.
The interior itself had rustic brick walls that were obviously the original brick walls of the station, but the tables were clean and modern with a very particular style that suited my tastes. Here are a few pictures of my matcha and the sweet that I enjoyed. A nice place and definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Tokyo Station, second floor near the Marunouchi exit.
