If you are ever in the Mactan island of cebu, this restaurant is a must visit , if not for the ambiance, then for their mouthwatering dishes.
As its name suggests, its a grill house but also offers other delish mouth watering delicacies for super affordable prices.
If you go there after dark, this is the the ambiance that welcomes you . super chill and a breath of fresh air.
The setting is in form of little huts with a table in the middle, perfect for a gathering/bonding.
There is a lot of greenery around, that adds more to the open roof restaurant, giving it a more outdoorsy look. However the green vegetation around has also caused a lot of mosquitos, too much i can say, or may be its case to case basis because as i was dying of mosquito bites, my friends seemed almost un bothered. For precaution, i would advise to apply some repellant.
We ordered for their famous ribs and rice platter that was served with a side of atchar.
We also had their delicious calamares and juicy shrimps
(
You can notice it when you visit this place though that its most visitors are foreigners, my guess would be because its located in the touristy area of the mactan island with many high profile hotels nearby such as J Park Island Resort and water park , among many others.
I would like to point out though that the waiters (based on my observation after visiting there twice ) are not very keen on instructions and orders, so you have to be very careful in cross checking your served orders and the Bill.
Over all experience was good, the food was amazing, make sure you go there when you are hungry. Prices are fair , i would say, considering its location.
We were 5 of us, all ordered for the spare ribs platter that comes with rice and a side of Atchar (filipino salad),
One platter of calamares and shrimps . we only ordered for 2 canned drinks as some of us were not feeling the extra sugar pump. Our bill was between p1,400-1,500 pesos. Had we ordered for drinks, it probably would be P1,900, more or less.
Never the less, they have a wide variety of options ranging from their famous grilled foods to savoury soups and currys.
The second time i visited , i tried their halohalo, mmmhhhh , i had mixed feelings about it.
Regardless, this place was worth it. Be sure to go early or probably call them to reserve in advance as they are always packed, especially in the evenings.
Hope you have enjoyed my review of this restaurant . below are there details.
Until my next post,
Xoxo,
Maggie.
