Hi,
Before we left for Nashville a couple of weeks ago, I asked around in vegan groups, and also surfed the net to see where vegan bakeries would be.
I put down more than 8 vegan bakeries/cakeries to check out, which unfortunately once I was in Nashville I learned they were not close to the hotel I was staying at.
We took Uber and Lyft wherever we went while in Nashville, one of the reasons we could not go to #thealliance Atlanta meet-up as it would be too bloody expensive to catch a 4 H drive there haha - yet we did bring along my 4 yo's car seat, just in case!
Anyways, back to the bakeries.
One of the bakeries that I had it down was 5 Daughters Bakery, but even so, it was more than 15 blocks away should we walk, and I did not really want to go here and there carrying the car seat, which we always did whenever we had to go somewhere with Uber/Lyft. So we never really checked any vegan bakeries! However, one day we went to Franklin, 35-45 mins drive from Nashville, and there it was, we spotted a branch!
Hai,
Jadi waktu antri tuh rada gerah deh, agak susah gerak wkwkwkw
Serunya pas cek nih toko roti, dapur mereka jendelanya kaca tanpa penutup, jadi kita bisa tengok-tengok dapur mereka meski hanya melalui jendela :D. Tapi mungkin para pekerjanya agak gerah dilihatin, ga ada senyumnya, euy :P Capek kali yah jadi ikan di aquarium, jadi susah senyum hehehe
Reading the history board, apparently this bakery started in Franklin, but there are more than 1 location in Franklin itself, it seems, so I do not know if the one we went to was the original or not, the history board does not say so
It is very well known, judging by the queue line, when there weren't many seating places, yet they line was very long and getting longer by the minutes.
Funny is, the bakery is not exclusively a vegan bakery, which we learned by reading the menu while already waiting in the long line and our spot moved up lol
Yang buat kami ketawa geli sih, karena berdasarkan info sana sini, bakery ini merupakan bakery vegan (non produk hewani), tapi pas kami lihat menunya, ternyata bakery biasa, pakai susu, pakai telur, pakai daging-dagingan wkwkwkw Ketepu dah!
They had wonderful baked goods displayed, very mouth watering, but only the donuts were the vegan ones and not much of a selection, I have to be honest.
They have cronuts, GF goodies, donut holes, cold and warm drinks.
This bakery is located inside The Factory, so there are other stores as well and when we came there it was still morning and not many stores opened yet, but a couple and this bakery, and judging by the line, seems people come here for breakfast
We were asked whether our order was to go or to have there, but there weren't many seats/tables, most are occupied already, so we got them boxed.
We did spot a table that isn't the bakery's and we got to sit and had sweets for breakfast lol. Boys got the cronuts while I got the V donuts
In a way or two am happy I got to scratch another place to see off my list of must-to-see while in Nashville, but I have to say the vegan donuts were just okay, though. Maybe their specialty was more to the cronuts, thus only small selection for vegan donuts and/or the gluten free baked goods.
Thanks for looking!
