As a few of you might know I'm a practically religious traveler. Long weekends, holidays and ever vacation day are spent as far away from home as possible. Also my fiancée due to work has status with multiple Star Allience airlines. As such I've been to a good number of airport lounges, the nicest being the Turkish Airlines International Lounge in Ataturk airport.
This lounge is the best for multiple reason. First off the food is top notch. The selection ranges from Swiss style sandwiches, to Turkish meatballs, to French pastries. It really is an awesome selection! Plus you get a wide range of drink options and a full bar!
This while impressive is standard for many lounges, however, the Turkish Airlines lounge also has free massages, 5 star private showers, a virtual golf course, two video game systems, a movie theater, pool table, library, and to top it all off if you're doing a between country layover you get a free room to sleep in!
Still don't believe this lounge is one of the best? Checkout my pictures below :)
As you can see this lounge is two floors of awesome!
The library/ pool area. It isn't quite, but it is just a lounge.
The golf course isn't much, but if you're into golf a bit of practice can't hurt!
The miniature race track isn't too impressive but younger kids seem to like it.
The private showers. Perfect for cleaning up prior to a long flight.
The drink options range from Efes Beer to Pepsi to Ayran( A Turkish drink I'd advise against trying).
A chef hard at work preparing my next great foodie experience.
A Turkish bread/spinach dish whose name now escapes me.
A lovely mix of French and Turkish pastrie. Half of them were amazing. The other half not so much.
A Turkish styled set dish with Kofte and Turkish rice.
Hope you all likes the brief overview and photos. Comments, questions, upvotes and follows are nice if you have them to give.
Note: One caveat to this lounge is that you can't buy access. It's for frequent fliers and business/first class.
