#Top 5 Vegan Restaurants in Chiang Mai
I think Chiang Mai is actually a heaven for vegan/vegetarians!
In fact, you can find vegetarian food in almost anywhere in Chiang Mai, but in case of me, I checked vegetarian restaurants in "Happy Cow" and "Trip Advisor" and marked in google map before going to travel, to save to for searching the vegetarian restaurants while traveling. There are so many places that I didn't have to worry at all. No matter where I go, there are vegetarian restaurants nearby. But I did arranged my accommodation based on the number of vegetarian restaurants. :)
1. Vegan Heaven
It was literally vegan heaven! Right in front of my hotel, I visited several times and I enjoyed every menu I ordered. There are good variety of dishes from fast food style to thai food, dessert, breakfast, everything. The location is excellent just a few minutes away from Night Bazaar, and had a nice vibe and most customers are young travelers.
Fried Mushroom - I had this at 10 PM after frenetic shopping in Night Bazaar and it was absolutely delicious! Pad Thai - A little childish sweet taste , not really authentic, but I liked it!
Breakfast meal including coffee and juice. Nice combination of Tofu scramble, veggie ham, baked beans and tomatoes and the coffee was very good too!
2. Rustic & Blue
A famous and trendy restaurant located in Nimman Haemin area. They had several vegetarian menu. Most of them are made of organic food. Expensive but healthy !
High quality vegan burger was delicious in healthy way. A bit expensive than other places but it deserves.
Vegan Raspberries Cheesecake! Look and taste are both delicious.
3. Lada Vegetarien
Lada Vegetarian is a food stall located in front of entrance of the big marget near Chiang Mai gate. A little bit misplaced in google map. It should move right from the current position. Just find the market!
A small food stall but has many vegetarian options.
Most of them are chinese style and everything is only 50 THB!!
Fried noodles are delicious, and Kao Soi was really delicious! It was a best food I've eaten in Chiang Mai. Kao Soi is a northern thai style curry noodle with crispy noodles on top. I can't believe it is 50 THB!

4. Good Souls Kitchen
Goodsouls Kitchen , located in the northwest part inside the old city, is relative quiet atmosphere facing a temple. A local friend recommended this place, but I only had a chance to eat a pancake in the morning. It was very relaxing and peaceful eating pancake sitting outdoor looking at temple in the other side. Pancake was vegan, but the texture was very soft. There are variety of dishes such as thai food, pasta, burgers.
5. Kin-Lum Vegetarian Restaurant
Lastly, I'd like to recommend Kin-Lum Vegetarian Restaurant located in Chang Khlan area, a little bit away to southeast but very closed to old city. This place had good reviews in google map, a family run restaurant with kind service, cheap price and healthy food.
Fried Tofu and Veggies - Very delicious and cheap, and good portions. Fried mushrooms - Goes well with sweet and sour sauce.
Healthy veggie burger with whole grain bun, and a green smoothie! Burger in this place is very famous, but it was not the best for my taste because of a lot of carrots inside them. :)
Ok. This is all, and now I'm very hungry. There are many other places you can enjoy a variety of delicious and healthy vegetarian/vegan food in Chiang Mai. I haven't been to so many places and still have a lot to visit! Reserved for my next visit. :)
