Yesterday was filled with all of my favorite things. From sweets to nerdy games and all the cute fun things in between.
met up with me at the coffee shop Intelligentsia and we decided to make a stop to a bakery called Magnolia. It was right down the street so we didn’t have to suffer in the cold for too long.
It was crowded but we were lucky enough to find a seat. We ordered ourselves a banana cream pie, belgian chocolate cheese cake and a chai latte.
As we were eating, asked if we went a little too crazy with the sweets.
I know, this pie doesn’t look good but trust me, it was really clean and fresh taste!
There was no way we could finish our desserts so we took them to go and did some light shopping before heading back to her apartment.
When we arrived Sushi was on parade with his oversized caterpillar.
It was a little ridiculous but very cute. I’ll have to share the video I made in another post.
Lonnie caught sushi’s attempt to chew on his Halloween costume, so as punishment he had to wear it.
He was motionless for quite some time, very upset with his mom. 🤣
Lonnie’s roommate Jien Hui made us some hot chocolate. I’m usually not a fan of marshmallows but they ended up melting into the liquid so it wasn’t bad at all.
The bestie must’ve seen my earlier post about wanting to play board games because she asked if I’d like to have a stay home-day to play games with Jien Hui and her fiancé Peter.
We ordered take-out, sipped on tea and played Mansion of Madness. It’s kinda like a murder mystery type game but you’ve got different story options and the floor plan of the mansion changes with each scenario. Holy shit was this game intense! Later on we played Santorini, which was more like a strategy game similar to checkers but 3d. I had so much fun and I’d love to host a game night like this.
It looked like Sushi had the right idea around 1AM.
Nothing could wake this sleeping beauty.
We decided to do some skincare before bedtime since we ran around the city all day and needed to extract all the impurities from our skin. Geez...sheet mask envy over here! I need to stock up my collection.
Instead of setting a timer we watched Aggretsuko on Netflix. I freaking love this scene where Retsuko is checking out at a clothing store, ready to explode because the saleswoman is insisting that she open up a store card.
I started another beetle drawing that I hope to complete later this afternoon.
