I am a very big fan of street food and when I travel different countries and places, I have to have their street food. I travel to eat varieties of food worldwide.
When I was in Bali, I used to see the small vendors and stalls opened only during the nights, I was curious and one day stopped by one of those stalls and I discovered a very delicious and tasty street food of Indonesia 'Martabak'.
Their are different varieties of Martabak like, martabak manis, martabak telur, martabak special and others.
I ordered martabak telur and I am keen to try other varieties whilst I'm in bali. Martabak telur is spicy omelet pancake with vegetables and meat folded in a thin flour skin. In Indonesia, it's called the king of street foods it is not common to see this dish in restaurants only as street food eaten by mainly locals. The filling contains eggs, minced chicken or beef or sausages, spring onions and seasoning. The outside layer of martabak is folded into envelope shape with the egg batter inside, then it is deep fried until the outside layer is crispy and brown in color. the price is super cheap for a large dish on average about $1.50 usd. I was very happy with the portion because it's filling at the same time very tasty. I had some leftovers and I used them for my breakfast as well. If you're in Bali, I strongly and highly recommend all to try this simple yet yummy street food.
