Travelling is for sure one of the best things in the world. Knowing different places, different cultures, clearing your head from the daily routine while having new experiences, all that is invaluable. One of my life goals is to visit a new country at least once a year, and although this year I haven’t checked that box yet, still haven’t lost hope!
While travelling, trying new food and new flavours is one of my favourites, especially if the destiny in another continent. For sure, nowadays a lot of things can already be found worldwide, but I have yet to see in Portugal a lot of the fruits and dishes I’ve found in Asia, for instance. And some other products, such as coffee, although existing worldwide, can have distinct flavours, depending on which part of the world they come from.
And if you don’t travel, you’re missing out.
But what if…
You have cool friends around the world? And the new tastes and flavours of the world… come to your door??
Well… that’s what happened to me! Colombia is on my ever growing list of places to visit, and decided to surprise me for my birthday: I got to taste some colombian flavours, without leaving the country!!
And among all the goodies, one of my favourite things: coffee!! This is typical colombian drip coffee, and one of the best coffee I’ve tasted! We do have very good coffee in Portugal, but this one is soooo good! And how do you savour it? Simple:
Open the package and place it on a mug; this coffee came in small packages, with some neat paper supports to fit a mug.
Boil some water and pour it on the coffe pouch:
Let it drip… and enjoy a great cup of coffee!
The merenguitos and the cookies that came in the package were really good as well, but this coffee stealed the show! Only thing missing now, is flying to Colombia and taste the coffee there to confirm it actually tastes the same! ;) Meanwhile, it’s good to have good friends abroad; thank you again for the great surprise !
