It seems that nothing is more real than the present moment. We find it when we pull our attention inward, away from past and future projections. In states of intense focus, mindfulness, or conscious connection, the now moment becomes our experience of reality. By connecting with the now moment, we discover a power that is always available and contains everything we could ever want.
The fact that the mind constantly strives for content and logical explanations is hardly apparent until you challenge yourself to suppress the mind of any reasoning or thoughts for a period of time. (Meditation is an excellent way to do this) In this way we develop mindfulness, and raise our spiritual vibration.
There are a million and one things we can do in the world to create pleasure to make our present moment feel good. But as long as we are externally focused, never will we find lasting peace and presence. We will keep chasing the illusion of future satisfaction. It’s not until we become truly present that we find the fulfillment that always exists right now.
The present moment is where truth lies. It creates peace, unity, love, freedom and understanding. It has the power to end unnecessary suffering, conflict and confusion. To know the power of the now is not to conceptualize it, but rather to know it in the heart through personal experience.
Freedom is in the now*
