It's a sweet chocolate rice, which is also known as a Filipino choclate rice pudding. One of my favorites! Usually for snack but I often eat this for breakfast, and believe me - that's an easy two bowls for me in one morning. Lol, maybe be that's too much but how can I resist right? My fellow Filipinos will understand and agree with me on this for sure.
It's mixture of sticky or sweet rice, sugar, chocolate bits(or cocoa powder) and drizzled with evaporated milk.
History:
Traced back from Mexico. During the galleon trade between Mexico and the Philippines, there were Mexican traders who stayed in the Philippines and brought with them the knowledge of making champorado. Through the years, the recipe changed; Filipinos eventually found ways to make the Mexican champurrado a Philippine champorado by adding rice. - Wikipedia
