I recently went on a trip to the surfing capital, San Juan, La Union, Philippines and a family friend, actually, 2 family friends of ours had gone into partnership and put up a Mexican Taqueria.๐ฎ๐ฏ
My Dad said the food was really good since he had already tried it a couple of times and Dad always has good taste in food (no pun intended).
From the outside, you'll notice a rustic themed building as though it came right out of a wild wild west set and you'll also notice the skull with the Dรญa De Muertos feeling since Mexico has a celebration for the Day of the Dead. It's really not hard to miss when you're drving down the road.๐๐
Upon entering, you are greeted by a huge board with the menu on it. Very legibly written and a very simple menu, no fancy schmancy name of dishes. On the middle of the menu, is the window where they take your order. The place doesn't have aircon and all that fine dining feeling, it's more of a picnic table and chair and fresh air. The place gives you the Dia De Muertos vibe with a little skateboarding/surfing touch to it. I guess they designed it that way since most of the customers came from the beach, surfing. ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Let's proceed to why we're really here. Aside from the great ambiance and unique interior and exterior design, the food is just oh-so-perfect Mexican. Just scrumptious and mouthwatering Mexican food! From burritos to tacos and to nachos! ๐ฏ๐ฎEverything is just great!
If you have no idea what Mexican food is ๐คท๐ผ
CHICKEN BURRITO! ๐ฏ๐ huge burrito!
BEEF BURRITO! ๐ฏ๐ another huge burrito!
CHICKEN QUESADILLAS๐ best Quesadilla flavor
CARNITAS TACO!๐ฎ

So if you ever get to visit San Juan, La Union, Philippines or just happen to pass by, don't forget to try out this place, you won't regret it. The food exceeds the price, I tell you.๐๐ป๐๐๐ป
