My staff treated me to dinner for my birthday.
They know that I love Japanese food.
And behind the trees is a small Japanese restaurant that serves excellent food!

The restaurant can accomodate a crowd with the outdoor seating. Most of the employees are students from the university. They were very friendly and provided us excellent service that was fast and thorough.

The food was so good, I cleaned out my plate
except for some morsels.
If you don't believe me, the empty plates will prove it!
Menu ingredient descriptions of the food I ate were taken from the printed menu of the restaurant.

First things first... Strawberry Mojito with my dinner!
For starters, I ordered the
MISO BEET SALAD:
Braised garden fresh beets served with honey miso vinaigrette, pine nuts, micro greens. It was a great way to start dinner.

Then I ordered this
PUFF DADDY:
Crab mix-stuffed shrimp tempura with creamy special house sauce and onions. It was delicious and loved it so much that it was a trigger for me to deliberately leave a piece out. That is just me.

NINETY-NINE ROLL:
Shrimp, eel, panko shrimp, avocado, sauce, masago and onion. This was ordered for me by my Admin. It was good. I shared this plate with everyone, because
I already ordered the three other plates for my dinner that is still to come.

I love all sorts of steak. Tuna steak done perfect is a favorite.
SEA STEAK:
Lightly seared raw tuna, shichimi soy dressing, daikon, green onions. Super YUMMY! Yum, yum!!

ZIG ZAG SOFT SHELL CRAB HANDROLL:
Deep friedsoft shell crab in spicy avocado blend, masago and onion. This handroll is to die for! A great mix of crunchy textures, and so delicious! This was my main entree.

The finish to my meal..
TORO ROLLL:
Toro (toh-roh) is the term for the fatty part of the tuna, found in the belly portion of the fish. I love, love this sushi (yet I prefer sashimi- just the fish, no rice). Too delectable!!! I intended this plate to be my last and final plate..... until another dish came!
BEEF TERIYAKI:
Stir fried beef with teriyaki sauce. This was ordered for me by my secretary, whom I value so dearly. And so I had to eat as much of it because I know it will please her. I had to skip the rice. This plate seriously stuffed me!

Yikes! Dessert too!
XANGO CHEESECAKE:
Smooth, creamy cheesecake
with a tangy finish, rolled in a flaky pastry tortilla, topped with
powdered sugar and drizzled with caramel and raspberry sauces. Too rich! I could only eat two pieces.

Do you believe me now? I can eat like a man!
