This week has been great for . I added some great features which I outlined in this post. A brief summary of it would be that you can login with steemconnect, posting works, theres a database with posts, and profile pages work. There are other pages that work as well, but I don't think that they are up to the best standard and have a lot more work to do for me to say that they are usable. I've been talking with the developer of SwiftyConnect(a library to use steemconnect with iOS apps) to solve some problems I've been having, and want to thank him for that. Here's my focus for the next two weeks:
- Get post beneficiary to work. Currently its been my main problem and I asked the creator of SwiftyConnect and he said he'll look over it.
- Create a new view for native posts and find a way to render the markdown for posts made in markdown. This will enable posts looking good. The raw markdown is currently shown not rendered, and I need to find a way to render that out too.
- Handle data passing better between screens. Currently, when a user clicks on a post to view, the stuff about it is stored in a very bad way. I need to change that so its handled in a safer way. I'm using global variables in some places where it would be better not to.
- Format posts made from the app in a better way. I want to let users post easily and have dedicated places for their goals, how much they've raised so far and that type of things.
I work on this mostly during the weekends and extra time I have. Its open source so any help would be much appreciated. I plan on making a utopian task request soon about the view, but with the site down, I wonder if anyone will still take it up as its harder to find.
And I've added some goals for the future too:
- Decide weather to use a different app for moderators, or use the same one. A different app is what I'm thinking as not to confuse moderators.
- Create a moderator related database. This will have all the posts that are not yet reviewed by moderators so that they can check them to see if its good enough to be accepted.
Goal : $1,600
Raised : $114
STEEM Raised : 40.199
My goal is to crowdfund the DJI Phantom 4 pro with upvotes from the steem blockchain. If you would be kind, just leave an upvote. Every day, I'll discuss something new about the Phantom 4 pro or something that I plan to do with it until I completely fund it. Hopefully this goes well. Thank you all in advance.
