Today I saw the documentary the Cowspiracy. I’ve been thinking about going vegan for many years now. I’ve been a vegetarian my whole life because my mother became a vegetarian when she was young so she raised me as a vegetarian. To be a vegetarian is normal for me and I’m happy to be vegetarian but I’m considering to take it all to another level, I’m considering going vegan. The reasons are many, animal rights, the environment and health.
The cruelty and the circumstances the animals in dairy industry live in seems horrible and it’s only for a nasty habit we have and some good taste. It also makes sense that we should not drink milk and eat dairy products, we are not baby cows. There’s a lot of energy and calories in dairy products and one of the main reasons for me to go vegan is to lose weight. I think it might be the best diet there is to be found nowadays. Not only as a way of managing weight but also for other health reasons.
They say that you are what you eat, I think diet is super important and I’m considering cutting out a lot of things from my diet. I would like to eat basically vegetables, fruits, berries, nuts and seeds. Maybe I could do it as an experiment for some time and see how it goes. I want to eat very clean and unprocessed.
It’s a good day to watch some documentaries because it’s raining so I think later today I’ll watch What the health.
What do you think about veganism? Did you watch the Cowspiracy?
