Why am I vegan and why should you be too? I started being vegan a year and a half ago, I started at a young age for dieting but it wasn't a diet at all, it was a lifestyle. Not eating meat wasn't the hard part, it was the dairy that really did it for me. It was hard for the first two weeks then it slowly got easier from there. If you put your heart to it, it will be a piece of cake. (vegan cake of course!)
Some people try going vegan to lose weight, to be healthy, or just because they care for the animals. Most people say that the diet doesn't work, the only reason it doesn't work is because they are not eating the right foods! The vegan 80/10/10 diet can really help someone with this (80% carbs 10% protein and 10% fat... this is similar to the raw food vegan diet). You also want to exercise daily. If you don't eat oil or processed foods the weight will just side off.
After only 3 months of being vegan I never want to go back eating the standard american diet because I feel so good and I will never go back! :D
