Buying vegan sausages can be extremely easy and fast, but maybe they are not so healthy and some of them are quite expensive. The truth is that I never liked meat sausages. But kids love hot dogs, so we managed to make some.
Very easy to prepare and delicious. For this recipe, I have estimated measures even though we do not use them when preparing the sausages for ourselves. You can experiment to find the way you like them the most.
Ingredients
- 4 medium carrots
- 1 Medium beet
- Oat flour (About three cups, but you will only use what you need) simply grind the oats in the blender until you get the flour
- Salt (to taste)
- 1 tsp. Oregano
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- 2 tsp. Garlic powder
- 2 tsp. Onion powder
Preparation
Cook the carrots and beets until very soft, then mash them.
Add seasonings and mix well. (If you do not have the powdery condiments you can also liquefy them fresh with a little water and add the carrots and the beet to make the puree in the blender).
If you want your sausages to be a bit spicy you can add some ground Cayenne red pepper.Add the flour little by little while mixing until it has a pasty consistency. It must be moldable with wet hands.
Moisten your hands and form the sausages while you heat a pan or griddle.
Grease the pan (I use soy lecithin).
Place them in the pan and brown them rolling them around so they don't burn, use medium-low heat.
Ready! Prepare your favorite dishes with them.
