Parkour is a journey (the term is identified with the art of displacement and overcoming to adapt to the environment using only the body)
"The street is my gym". It is one of the phrases that are most associated with parkour, and it is precisely in that environment - urban or natural - where the exercises take place in this discipline. The aim is that the traceur or tracer - the person doing parkour - use any motor skill to move in the fastest, safest and most efficient way possible.
The belief that parkour is synonymous with performing dangerous activities, such as jumping from one house to another, or making complicated acrobatics that can reach the absurd - like getting off a sidewalk with a somersault - has spread, however. These acrobatics are complements that make Parkour a much more complete and striking sport, which consists, therefore, in the running, jumping, climbing, or crawling.
The challenge occurs when the level is raised and the routes are increasingly complex, in addition to the movements become cleaner and more spectacular.
