I find it funny that many of the posts here on steemit that I read either begin or end (sometimes both) with something along the lines of "upvote my post". If a post is good, I'll upvote it without needing to be asked. If it's not good, why ask? Asking won't get my vote 99% of the time and in most cases makes me think that the author is out to make a quick buck, rather than contribute to the steemit community.
